Cut Throat City free download CUT THROAT CITY takes place in 2006 in New Orleans, just after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Four childhood friends – Artist Blink (Shameik Moore), drug dealer Miracle (Demetrius Shipp Jr.), junior dog lover (Keean Johnson) and jazz trumpeter Andre (Denzel Whitaker) – can barely make ends meet . Blink is newly married and has a child to support, so he and his friends go to “cousin” (Tip “T.I.” Harris) looking for a job.
He sends them to rob a casino, and – despite the disruption and tragedy – they manage to come out with some money. But the cousin is not happy with their mail, and friends must hide with the father of alienated Blink (Wesley Snipes). Soon, the friends decide on a hold-up even more, one with a symbolic meaning.
drama of epic crime director RZA is ugly, too long and too familiar, but his particular time and setting an ambitious framework give and just the passion that energizes. Cut Throat City begins with the four friends, each of which is defined by a single characteristic. (For example, Miracle is a bad drug dealer that his friends tease him because he is always broken.) This is not a promising start, and then there’s the holdup of the casino, which is quite chaotic and not very breathless. It’s all a bit too simple.
The cast support veteran help. Snipes is great as the father of Blink, and there is also Harris (but distracting makeup), more Isaiah Washington, Terrence Howard, and Eiza González. Ethan Hawke has some moments of flying scenes as a member of the corrupt city council that are downright funny. And the themes of Hurricane Katrina come in. Blacks are denied FEMA assistance.
There is a conspiracy theory about how and why a levee broke toward the black side of town, rather than the white side. A sense of dark destiny arrest, discrimination, creeps into the regular track procedure Cut Throat City; Life is just not fair to these people, no matter what they do.
Parents should know that Cut Throat City is a crime drama directed by RZA. It is located in New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina and the addresses of the lives of black people during this period. It lacks a certain grace, but the context gives it greater range and passion that just makes it worthwhile for mature viewers.
The violence includes guns and shootings, bloody wounds, and animated opening titles gory. The characters die, a dog is shot, and more. The language is extremely strong, with constant use of words including “f – k,” “s – t”, “mother —- r,” the word “N”, and more. Scenes set in strip clubs show women topless, and are represented naked male and female funds. There is also a strong sex-related talk. The characters are drug dealers, and there are pot-smoking scenes, smoking, and drinking.
